We've made a lot of new products available here at EPSS this year, but if you ask me, our new NFL Ear Plugs are by FAR the most exciting hearing protector of the season!
These ear plugs are made of soft and comfortable foam, and they provide NRR 32 hearing protection, which is just about the best you can get from any hearing protector, period (NRR 33 is the absolute max). So these are soft, comfortable, high-quality foam ear plugs with great noise reduction. But that's not what makes these spankin' new ear plugs so exciting.
We have these NFL Ear Plugs in 32 colors, which (as any sports fan has already gathered) means we've got a unique set of hearing protection for fans of every single NFL team out there! We've got NFL Ear Plugs for everyone who loves pro football, from the numerous fans of the Cowboys, Packers, and Giants, all the way down to those die-hard fans of the slightly (cough) less-popular Rams and Jaguars.
That's right: No Team Left Behind!
Now, the colors alone on these ear plugs are amazing. The care that went into designing these plugs is incredible; every NFL Ear Plug's hue is fine-tuned to match each team's colors, and as a whole, these plugs come in a huge range of colors that we've honestly never seen before in any single ear plug, anywhere. And all of that careful coloration was done to ensure that your NFL Ear Plugs truly do match your team's colors.
But the coolest thing about these ear plugs is the innovative imprint on the end of each plug: the imprinted team logo shows when the plugs are in your ears.
It seems like such a simple idea, but I've never, ever seen this done before -- and I couldn't think of a better use for this nifty new technique than with these NFL Ear Plugs. Every single ear plug features a color imprint of the team's logo on the end of the plug, so anyone looking can tell at a glance who you're rooting for.
And these are some pretty fantastic imprints, too, including multiple colors and impressive detail. Sure, the simple-and-classic Giants logo obviously looks great -- but there's some real detail here on the more complex team logos: you can actually read "Raiders" and "Steelers" on their respective plugs, and the Buc's flag is flying high, complete with the skull and crossed swords. You can even clearly make out the 'M' on the Dolphin's helmet.
At this point, I know some of you hardcore football fans are thinking, "Why would I wear ear plugs to the game?! That defeats the whole purpose!" You guys know the sound, both heard and felt, is a big part of what makes watching the game from the actual stadium so exciting, and that's the truth. But you guys also know that when the crowd goes wild, volume levels skyrocket -- and it's not just the massive crowd raising the roof and making some enormous noise, there's also the gigantic PA system, crazy-loud music, people blasting their air horns, and that guy behind you who won't stop screaming at the ref... all of which are throwing some really dire decibels at your eardrums. And even if you're too amped up to notice the pain in your ears at the time, you'll definitely be feeling it the next day, when your ears are ringing and you find yourself saying, "WHAT?" every other sentence when you're trying to discuss the game with your buddies.
So I'll tell it like it is: NFL games are so loud that you could bury your ears under ear plugs, ear muffs, AND wrap your entire head in a blanket, and you're still not going to be able to avoid hearing the sound. So settle down, die-hard fans, and let's use some common sense here: wearing good hearing protection to the game won't prevent you from hearing (and feeling!) the sound -- but it will prevent you from feeling the burn after the game is over. And you get to show your team spirit at the same time. This is a clear win-win.
Now, if you're not actually a frequent attendee at the actual stadium, don't feel left out. You can wear these ear plugs in a ton of different noisy situations.
They're great for mowing the lawn or using power tools. They're equally excellent for napping on the couch, or for getting a good night's sleep. You could wear these plugs to non-NFL sporting events, too. For instance, even at small-town high-school football games, where the bleachers only hold maybe 50 spectators, the noise levels can still be dangerous enough to cause lasting hearing damage. (If your own kid is on the high-school team, you could wear the plugs for the NFL team he dreams of possibly joining one day!)
There are other excellent uses for these NFL Ear Plugs, too:
In fact, NFL Ear Plugs are great for absolutely any situation in which you would use any other foam ear plugs. NFL plugs aren't just awesome to look at; remember that whole comfort and effectiveness thing? Yeah. You could wear these ear plugs at work, and make your co-workers jealous. You can use them to sleep next to a snoring spouse (or if you snore, give them to your spouse so she'll tolerate sleeping next to YOU!). For everything from sports to sleeping to riding the subway, these ear plugs are ideal for protecting your ears from any noisy situation -- and for letting you show off your team spirit anywhere you go.
I hope you guys are as excited about these new NFL Ear Plugs as I am. Love your team, love the game -- and love your ears, too.
Until next time, be safe and do the right thing.
